Referred to as Little England, Nuwara Eliya is a scenic town in the Central Highlands of Sri Lanka. In April, crowds gather in Nuwara Eliya to witness the annual horse races at the Nuwara Eliya Racing Course. A reminder of the island’s colonial past, the Racecourse has been in operation since the 19^th century.
